How to Fix iOS 14+ Tracking Issues with CAPI

Implement the Conversions API (CAPI) alongside your Pixel to recover lost iOS conversions.

Why This Matters

Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) blocks the Meta Pixel from tracking iOS users who opt out. This can cause 30-50% of conversions to go unattributed, destroying your ability to optimize campaigns.

How To Implement

1. Go to Events Manager → Data Sources → Your Pixel.

2. Click 'Settings' → 'Conversions API'.

3. Choose your integration method: Partner Integration (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.), Gateway API, or Direct API.

4. For Shopify: Install the Facebook & Instagram app and enable CAPI in the data sharing settings.

5. Enable 'Event Match Quality' monitoring and aim for a score above 6.0.

6. Set up Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM) and prioritize your 8 conversion events.

Pro Tip

Use 'data passthrough' parameters like email and phone number (hashed) to maximize your Event Match Quality score. This helps Meta match more server events to users.
