"Pangle." It sounds like a cute cartoon character. It is actually TikTok's third-party ad network (apps, games, and utility sites). It is available in key markets (APAC, LATAM, MENA, and parts of Europe). But is it worth your money?
The Good: App Installs
If you are promoting a Mobile Game or an App, Pangle is a beast.
- Format: Playable Ads & Rewarded Video.
- Cost: 30-50% cheaper CPM than the main TikTok feed.
- Performance: High conversion rates for App Installs (CPI).
The Bad: E-Commerce & Lead Gen
If you are selling a physical product or a B2B service, Pangle is a trap. Why:
- Intent: Users are playing a game. They want the "Reward" (extra life), not your product.
- Quality: Accidental clicks are high.
- Bot Traffic: Higher risk of invalid traffic.
How to Exclude It
When setting up your Ad Group:
- Go to Placements.
- Select "Select Placement" (Do NOT choose Automatic Placement).
- Uncheck Pangle.
- Only keep TikTok.
Summary
- Selling an App? Test Pangle.
- Selling literally anything else? Turn it off. Don't let the algorithm burn your budget on cheap inventory just to lower your average CPA.
